Executive MBA AUEB Welcomes the Students of the 28th Cohort

The Executive MBA of the Athens University of Economics and Business welcomed its new students on Friday, September 12, 2025, with an orientation event marking the beginning of the new academic year.

The event began with a short welcome address by the Program Director, Professor Papadakis, followed by experiential activities led by Associate Professors Nikandrou and Karantinou. Faculty members representing the teaching staff, as well as the program’s administrative team, were also present.

Through ice-breaking and teamwork activities, students had the opportunity to get to know each other better, share their goals and expectations for the program, and discuss what they are willing to contribute and invest during their studies. The event concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere with food and wine in the courtyard, offering further opportunities for networking and interaction.

For yet another year, the Executive MBA at AUEB feels both proud and responsible toward the outstanding students of the 28th cohort.

Below are some key statistics that distinguish the program from other part-time postgraduate programs in Greece:

• 59% of the students already hold a postgraduate degree, mainly in fields outside economics and business administration.
• Four students of the new cohort hold a PhD.
• The average age of students exceeds 36.5 years.
• Approximately 40% of the students are women.
• The average work experience after obtaining the first degree exceeds 10 years.
• A significant percentage of students attend the program following encouragement from their employers or organizations.
