Excellent Score for the Executive MBA at Athens University of Economics and Business from the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE)

The Executive MBA at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) has achieved another significant accreditation, this time from the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE).

The Executive MBA received the highest possible rating (fully compliant) in all 10 areas of evaluation. Through submitted documentation and interviews with faculty, students, alumni, and external stakeholders influencing the program’s development, the assessment confirmed the program’s continuous improvement since its establishment.

The evaluation covered the following thematic areas:

  • Quality policy and objectives
  • Program design and structure
  • Student-centered learning and teaching evaluation
  • Candidate selection process and recognition of the postgraduate degree
  • Academic staff and learning resources
  • Information management
  • Public information and presence on social media
  • Continuous internal monitoring and evaluation
  • Evaluation by accreditation bodies and/or international ranking and assessment organizations

This accreditation is particularly significant as it benefits students, the program itself, faculty, and employers in a highly competitive professional environment.

Key comments from the Evaluation Committee included:

  • Faculty, students, and alumni possess high professional standards and extensive work experience, distinguishing the program from other postgraduate programs.
  • Employers and members of the program’s external advisory board are recognized as key industry figures, providing substantial support to the program’s successful trajectory in recent years.
  • The program director and committees prioritize students’ needs both during and after the completion of their studies.
  • The program effectively employs diverse assessment and learning methods. Each course is structured to ensure that every student achieves all expected learning outcomes.
  • Significant attention is given to evaluation procedures through guidance from the university (MODIP) as well as internal processes.
  • The program’s website is detailed, complete, user-friendly, and appealing. The program also demonstrates strong engagement on social media, successfully building a large following on Facebook and LinkedIn.

The evaluation process lasted approximately one year, aiming to demonstrate that each Executive MBA graduate acquires a unique combination of knowledge, skills, and competencies that make them stand out in the job market and become a preferred candidate for leadership positions in multinational and international companies.
